Bull Pine Haven

A secluded log cabin on open ranchland - and a place with purpose for the veterans we host.

Our Story

Bull Pine Haven started with a simple idea: to create a place where people could slow down, reconnect, and experience the peace of rural Montana.

My husband, Boe, and I (Satabra) live and work on our family ranch with our three daughters, where we raise Red Angus cattle and continue a way of live that has been passed down through generations. Boe is the fifth generation on this ranch so this land, ranching, and the values that come with it are a huge part of who we are as a family.

When we purchased the Bull Pine Haven property in 2026, it was especially meaningful because the property connects to our existing ranch. It gives us the opportunity to expand not only our land, but also a vision we had already been talking about for years.

Boe is a military veteran, and through his experiences, along with my journey toward becoming a clinical mental health counselor, we began thinking about how powerful if can be to have a place where people can step away from everyday life, reconnect with nature, and find a sense of peace and purpose.

Our vision became creating a therapeutic retreat for veterans - a place where they could come to eastern Montana, spend time outdoors, reconnect with others, and experience the ranch lifestyle in a meaningful way. We wanted Bull Pine Haven to be more than just a place to stay. We want it to be a place with purpose.

For our family, this is more than a property or a business. It is an extension of our ranch, our family history, and the values that have been passed down through generations - hard work, service, community, and taking care of others.
